I checked in late in the evening. They turned off the water shortly after I went to the room due to repair work. It is understandable that this needs to happen every now and then, but they didn't make me aware of it me when checking in. When I asked for a price reduction at checkout, they told me there were posters everywhere and that I should have noticed it myself. I am very unsatisfied with this communication and would expect better customer service at this price level. Do not recommend.

The check in was swift the room was clean and compact. However we had issues with the room as the door would not lock on vacation. We also did not have the hotel information on the TV and there was no print out available re restaurants etc from reception. The receptionist was pleasant and agreed that the room had a faulty door lock and arrange a further room on the same floor. This required us to relocate and repack all our luggage. Due to this room change we arrived at the restaurant at 9.20pm which was too late for our evening meal. The waiter did ask the chef if we could have a meal but it was apparent from the Chefs response this would not be possible.! A room upgrade or a sandwich for our inconvenience would have been appreciated especially after a 6 hr train journey. Not the stay we had anticipated- although Secret Escapes arrival drinks eventually at 10pm was nice. A small beer and half a glass of wine.

Good centric hotel although surroundings don't do it much service. Missing a couple amenities for the type of hotel (swimming pool would have been nice) and beer selection not as good as could be expected.
