There is absolutely nothing positive I can say about this hotel! From incredibly poorly trained staff, tiny “hole in the wall” rooms, broken shower door that leaks! They only provide you with one pillow?! Beds are very uncomfortable. You have to pay money to use the gym next door? The breakfast is mediocre at best. The corridors to the rooms were hot without air conditioning! The location is flat bang in the middle of a very dangerous atea in Brazil and unwalkable! We were so unhappy that we cancelled our stay after 1 night and booked another hotel that yes, was slightly more expensive but, it was a 5 star hotel. The prices are incredibly steep for what they offer. To add insult to injury: they had the audacity to state that my refund will take 2 months to process??! Where in your life! I have booked at Ibis Spain hotels before I can hands down assure that I WILL NEVER BOOK AT AN IBIS HOTEL EVER AGAIN IN ANY COUNTRY thanks to Rio De Janiero Ibis hotel.
