Great hotel for a weekend break. I was a bit worried about staying in an unmanned hotel but they helpfully sent the code in advance so that we could leave our luggage when we arrived, and then the room code later that day to check in. The location is great, close to the boat stop from the airport and easy walking distance to all the sights, restaurants and Jewish quarter. Even though it's right near a busy area, the hotel itself is very quiet. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, warm and quiet. The bathroom was perfect for our needs for a couple of days stay. I would highly recommend this if you're looking for a decent budget hotel in a great location.

Disappointing experience overall. PROS. 1. Located in a quiet corner 2. A/C worked without issues 3. 10-12 min. Walk from train station. No water taxi needed. 4. Luggage storage availability. 5. Easy check in process using codes to enter building and room. 6. 2 water bottles given in room CONS 1. Stairs that are narrow without elevator. I would consider getting a room on 1st floor. 2. Worst customer service. Our TV was not working. You can see the green light was on without any display. We informed housekeeping in the morning who said they would take a look into it however when we called again she said that maintenance does not come until the weekdays. Not sure why we weren't informed before. We asked management for some of compensation hoping we would at least get another room or money back. After messaging couple times of the issue I never received any response. What horrible customer service. It would be nice to get some sort of response. Me and my spouse typically like to have the TV on after a long night to go sleep with. 3. Musty bathroom partly due to poor ventilation and leaky shower head that causes the water to puddle outside the shower. Not really sure why they built a low platform shower with just a shower curtain and not glass door. When housekeeping came she did help with the leak however we were never given any new body soap bottles. 4. No 24/7 concierge which is unusual for a hotel. We asked for towels at night and were informed that towels cannot be requested after 3 PM.

Overall, our stay here was fine. The rooms were clean and updated. I never received the code but when I reached out to owner, I received a professional and polite response immediately. The location is great. I didn’t mind having no one on the property to check in- it was actually easier to just type in the code. But it was hard to find our actual room inside when we initially arrived. The temperature of the water in the shower was an issue. Every 20 seconds the water would go ice cold, then return to the temperature it was originally at. The building smells pretty musty when you first enter, but the room itself smelled fine. Our main difficulty was getting our bags up the flight of stairs. I didn’t see anyone else mention this in the reviews so maybe I missed something. But it was near impossible to get my suitcase to my room.

5 stars WITH HEAVY RESERVATIONS. FIRST AND FOREMOST: download whatsapp before you stay here especially if you're from the US. We waited an hour in the rain for information to access the building but could not get a hold of anyone because of our US phone service until another guest helped us out and god bless her for doing so. She showed us to contact the peraon through whatsapp and as soon as I got a hold of someone we were immediately in. The room was wonderful, the location was great, it was a perfect stay after the initial hiccup which may have been a random hiccup. So I repeat: download whatsapp because that's how we got a hold of someone quickly.
