My wife and I just stayed at this hotel for a four nights. The hotel is in a great area of town near many bars, restaurants, and within walking distance of the Acropolis. The hotel appears to be an older hotel. It is very small, and the rooms are very small. We stay in room 51 on the fifth floor. Our room and bathroom, shower were very small. We did have a decent size deck where we had a great view of the Acropolis. The air conditioner blew cold air but it dripped water all of the floor and it had a very annoying clicking sound. There also appeared to be mold on the ceiling above the shower. In our opinion, the pictures of the hotel and the rooms are deceiving.

Great location on the weekends you can hear live music through the window switch if you’re a lively person you would probably like. And you have to go up like seven stairs and then thank God there’s an elevator but the rooms are a little bit small in the window is not so big but the breakfast isn’t bad and at least they have one. The prices aren’t bad either but in order to get to the airport from there it’s kind of expensive if you take a taxi and that probably costs about €45

Location is incredible which made our Athens experience so easy on foot! My room had an INSANE view of the acropolis!! All staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. A big shout out goes to Vicky for all the restaurant recommendations. The yoghurt at rooftop breakfast was the best first Greek yoghurt experience in Greece!!

I stay at Hotel Metropolis every time I visit Athens. The location is perfect for walking around the town and exploring, the hospitality is very friendly, and the rooms have an incredible view of the Acropolis. The hotel also serves breakfast on the rooftop each morning for guests to enjoy while looking over the view of Athens. I highly recommend this hotel for single travelers, couples, or small families looking for an affordable stay in a safe area in the center of Athens.

I needed a last minute place to sleep as I had an issue with my initial booking. The staff were very helpful and the price was very reasonable. The room was very basic, but had everything I needed and I was able to check out late after a simple request with no issue while I looked to resolve my other booking issues. The location is very central so it has easy access the the city centre sights, however it is noisy at night and the church bell does ring on the hour every hour, so ear plugs would be recommended. So overall the rooms are very basic, the location is central but noisy at night, but the staff were super friendly and helpful.
