Im very happy with my stay in this hotel. First, the location is good and within walking distance of Ximending Night Market. There are a lot of stores nearby. Second, the staff especially in the reception area were helpful and they accommodated us early and we had our room before the check-in time. Third, I got a triple bedroom and it is so spacious and the toilet is big and clean. They even have complimentary snacks and water in the room and toiletries. Fourth, the hotel offers light breakfast and some snacks for free, water and juice, and coffee 24 hrs, and at night a cup of noodles for free, not only that they have a free foot spa in the hotel you just have to book it ahead. They even have a self-service laundry area. Also, they have a list of food chains where you can get discounts like Mister Donuts and others. I highly recommend staying in this hotel.

The room we stayed in appears to be new so it's relatively clean, especially the bathroom. However, we don't understand why the bathroom was a foot higher than the rest of the room. We don't have any windows and we don't have any issues with the smell. The receptionists are accommodating too. They allowed us to leave our luggages for a few days while we traveled out of Taipei, but that's because we were coming back to this hotel. Location is very good, it's near the xinmending night market and near an MRT.

Rooms 4/5: Just remember this is a commercial building converted to hotel, so you may get a window or you don't. If there is no windows then there will be some ventilation issue when you entered the room for the first time. So with that in mind please do adjust your expectation on such issue. Other wise the room is clean with a less than perfect toilet (some mould are there near bath area) but again for USD 80 for such location, i find it acceptable. Service 5/5: Counter staff are friendly and helpful, I will give it a 5/5 for that. They even offier free cup noodles if you ever need one after 10pm Location 5/5 (or 3/5 if you dislike crowd): This is where this hotel shines, it sits right at Ximen shopping area, but you may love it or hate it as it is overly crowded and its very much a tourist spot so you may see things being slightly overpriced. I do enjoy the few nights there but I would not want to stay longer than that , as it is just too touristy with long queue for food everywhere. If you plan to hang around Ximen area this is a good choice of hotel, but if you want some quiet times to really see and experience local Taipei life, maybe switching to other location is not a bad idea too.

Quite a sad end to an otherwise great trip through Taiwan. The room is absolutely musty and it is remarkably smaller than on the photos at Booking. The dusty smell makes you want to check out right away. Particularly noteworthy is the poor service. We wanted to cancel the last day in the hotel because our flight was moved forward. However, for "technical" reasons, this was not possible. I know we were outside the cancellation period, but how can they be so unaccommodating? The hotel was full. They could have re-rented the room without any problems. I'm sure that was done and the hotel cashed out twice. The people at the front desk don't even manage to keep eye contact and continue to stare at the screen while talking. No recommendation for the hotel at all!

To be candid, we went along as a group and agreed this hotel was excellently located. Ratings are a function of price and I can’t remember how much we paid for it. Perhaps if this is described as an”inn” or “travellers”hotel or luxe “hostel”-it would make sense. The bathroom has a sign to tell you “do not flush toilet paper in the toilet bowl” and there is a small plastic container next to it. Errrr. This hotel is one of several located inside what could be described as a commercial building. The room is small but has everything. Air con works well. There is a pantry by the reception with efficient but brusque receptionists. Like I said,it is exceptionally located. Stay here if you can curl your head around that sign in your bathroom. No photos taken.
