you get what you pay for. decent hotel. check in was horrible. no direction to our room and had to carry all of our luggage searching for our room. when we finally found our room the hostess was waiting for us at the door stating the room was already occupied and she had made a mistake then brought us to a new room.. the room was nice, i loved the balcony w the hammock and the views were great. the staff at the restaurants and bar are all friendly and do their best to give you good service especially if you tip. the beach is small. but this resort is decent for a quick 3-4 day trip. i would not stay a week here.

First of all everyone is so kind here! Very attentive staff always wearing a smile on their face. We had an issue with our room at first not having any AC but eventually the issue was resolved and our room stayed very cold the rest of the stay. Food was decent and it was pretty simple to get around and enjoy our stay. Drinks were amazing and the beach and pool were always clean and full of staff ready to help you. Amazing stay overall and will visit again.

Just got in and so far this place is terrible. The food is alright but the service is lacking terribly. Booked over a month in advance and the whole check in process is horrible. The room is super small and sink was broken. Also the balcony is not what I would consider a balcony. Update: the next morning we went down to move rooms. Couldn’t check in it until 3 so our bags sat in the lobby but once we finally got moved the room was much better. The view was amazing! However it was right by the stage and super loud until about 10:30pm. That was why I took 1 star away from the room. Overall the service was decent, as was the food, but make sure you do reservations downstairs, you can’t hardly get any help if you use the phone. The location was good, close to activities such as Captain Hook, and despite the smell sometimes, we enjoyed watching the boats come and go!

My husband and I visited the resort in January for a few days to Celebrate my husband Birthday and I am sure glad that we did . Let me start by thanking each and every employee that we came in contact with during our stay . The staff at this resort is amazing, they were very professional, friendly and attentive not just to my husband and I , after speaking with other guests everyone pretty much felt the same about the staff and the exceptional service . The rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained, the food was great and prepared fresh daily and the cocktails were spot on . The staff prepared a romantic dinner on the beach for my husband’s Birthday celebration which was top tier with the right ambiance .The beach is nice and relaxing, there are plenty of activities and entertainment to keep you engaged. The location is within close proximity to many restaurants & shopping 10 minutes by bus or taxi . My husband and I can’t wait to visit again . If you are planning to visit Cancun , you can’t go wrong by staying at the Occidental Costa Cancun . Thank Edgar and all the amazing staff .
