OCEAN VIEW CANCUN ARENAS

If I could give 0 star I would. Experience here was horrible from check in. We were waiting from 3 pm till 5 pm to receptionist give as room . First she said that she can’t find our booking, then when she find she said that all rooms is fully booked, they don’t have now and we need to wait . I get angry and ask why then they put on website that they have room available. Her answer to my question was very rude . Then finally since 2 hours of waiting they give us key , the elevator doesn’t work, we were looking about 5 min and just go by stairs. It was building 2 and they have 3 elevators any of them doesn’t work. The room was very dirty. Everywhere is hair , dust ,smells bad and old hotel . I wanted to go and fight to give us another room or at least clean . But we was very tired. Our flight was about 16 hours and we didn’t sleep. So i just writing this review to aware people of this hotel . I don’t know who this people who give this place 5 star . As I said this hotel rate is 0 .

Absolutely terrible would be an understatement - although the hotel would probably takes that as a compliment . Notice all the 5 star reviews don’t have any comments We would have checked out sooner but my family got violently ill (diarrhea & vomiting) from the food. It was poorly prepared and there were no sneeze guards at the buffet. The music was so loud that you could hear it louder than the tv which was set volume 27 to be able to hear it. When you went to the building 2 pool it was so loud from the echo and the distortion it was inaudible. It sounded like an eight year old trying to play an electric guitar. I was sick in bed all day and the music was blaring, so I couldn’t even sleep. I called down to the front desk multiple times, and they weren’t understanding nor did they turn the music down. When I felt well enough to go down to move rooms I was told that they unable to accommodate that request. Our room had not one painting or art work only a mirror, and that was pretty much the whole hotel. It was basically a lack of caring or pride for the property. The lounge chairs were all mismatched with dry-rotting mesh and the umbrella tables next to them had dried food on it that looked like it wasn’t cleaned in weeks. The pool had a Snickers wrapper it in for more than 24 hours. The employees, especially the front desk were beyond rude, and just didn’t care about the guest’s experience. There were a few notable exceptions Carlos and Jose both waiters were very nice, and the doorman was also very nice. We checked in on the Dec. 22 and checked out Christmas Eve Morning, 24th. They also said that they would not refund me. To sum up this place, we missed two days of our vacation, had to leave Christmas Eve morning, and still have the lingering effects of food poisoning. Now I’m fighting with the booking agency, Amex, and the hotel to refund me my money. We’ve been to Cancun five times in the past three years and always had a great experience. There’s a lot more I could say about this place but me / my family’s experience is on par with everyone else’s. I’m 49 years old and have traveled a fair amount in my life. That said I have only checked out early from a hotel room once in my life. This was it. If what you read doesn’t stop you from going to this place all I can say is - Good Luck!! Ocean View Cancun Arenas instead of a canned response pretending that you care - just refund me my money so this horrible experience can all be over. And it’s funny that all the 5 star reviews don’t have any comments, which makes me believe that they are fake.
