Great hotel for the money, really recommend! I enjoy places that are family run, where people work with love and pleasure and make us cozy. This is such a place, the whole hotel team were friendly and helpful. The room was big and clean, they also organised our stuff every day. Swimming pool with jacuzzi and two saunas with a good resting room where you can have water and fruits. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I had in Switzerland, several options of cheese, bread, dried ham, bread and etc. Good coffee machine also. Dinner with a salad’s buffet and freshly made dishes with 3 different options for the main menu. The location is pretty good, really near First station and sports shops. There is also a nice bar with homemade chips available for free. Enjoyed also the decoration and history of this place, will sure return whenever possible.

Great experience. Very welcoming and hospitable staff. The location is amazing and the views are even better. Big clean porches with folding chairs allow for peaceful mountain viewing from your room. Included breakfast was a surprise plus and it was very good. The restaurant staff was always very friendly and welcoming. The only heads-up I would give to any future travelers is that there is no included mini fridge and the shower heads are quite low. However I wouldn't let that deter you from choosing this wonderful location!

Lovely hotel, comfy rooms, great views, nice location, and staff that makes you feel like family. We stayed here 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It's conveniently close to the main street, Dorfstrasse, but off of it just enough to be shielded from the traffic. A 10-minute walk to the bus and train station, even less to restaurants, the supermarket, and convenience stores, and right next to the FirstBahn bus stop and the Grindelwald First lift. The excellent and complimentary breakfast was a great way to start the day, and you can reserve dinner a night in advance for only $20 CHF per person, which makes it likely the best dinner deal in town. Drinks on our mountain-side balcony while enjoying views of the Eiger and Shreckhorn was the perfect ending to most of our nights there. Finally, we can't say enough about the staff, especially Nicole, Carlos and Manuel. Over-the-top warm, friendly, and helpful, day after day.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel staff was very friendly at every level. We do not have a single negative thing to say. The property was well maintained, and the facilities were clean and in good operating condition. The balcony was spacious and provided excellent views. The breakfast and dinner setups were very good and had great food and service. The pool, hot tub, sauna, and spa experience were next level. The pool is huge and had a great water spout to beat sore neck, shoulder, and back muscles into relaxation. It was very clear to us that every employee we encountered, took pride in their job. We would definitely stay here again.
