Stayed overnight at the Phoenix Pavilion Hot Spring Hotel recently and had a very good experience. From the moment we arrived till our departure, all the staff we met were extremely helpful and friendly. Although the hotel was a little dated, the semi open air onsen bath in our room was perfect for us. The room was clean, very spacious and the hotel provided shampoo and shower gel for guests. The Hotel was located slightly uphill in a tranquil area, yet not far away from the Beitou thermal valley and the hot springs museum and eateries. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing getaway!

Great place to wind down after a long trip, the sulfur hotspring inside the room is relaxing and great to soak in. I would recommend having it as a one or two night stay as the enjoyment is too rushed to be done in two hours ( we booked the klook package). The hotel has a van to fetch the customers from the nearby MRT station as well if you're having luggage and don't want to climb the hills.

The room was cozy and clean. We enjoyed the hot spring water bath in a quiet afternoon overlooking the sky. It was relaxing.

Plus points: Staff service was tops and they provided a shuttle service to beitou or xin beitou as and when car was available (not based on fixed timing, which means no waiting). Breakfast was typical taiwan porriage and very delicious and hearty. My main beef of this place: - very dated with damp and dirty looking carpet - no elevator and was a long flight of stairs up - room decor very 80s - amenities also very 80s : paper packs of toiletries and was barely sufficient - the photos of their open onsen was deceiving. It was not even opened. Whole place looks very dated and left behind in time. I would select another newer hotel next trip. Felt that the photos were a misrepresentation.
