A week prior to checking in I received an email asking which bed arrangement I would prefer. I responded correctly, as stated per the email and asked for 2x double beds please. Upon arrival we saw only one room had a double bed. We rang reception, they said they would sort it out. 2 minutes later we received a phone call saying housekeeping was finished for the day and there was nothing they could do and they claimed they hadn’t received an email stating preferred bed arrangements and that was it. They didn’t even try to help or sort out a solution. It’s not that big of a deal but the lack of effort is a bit poor considering how much we’ve paid for the room, a little help effort to help sort something out would have been nice. But the room is nice other than that :)

Really great location especially as we decided to not hire a car. Very happy with our 2 bedroom apartment for the week & could see the Kuranda train each day from our balcony. Pool is awesome, the kid’s favourite place! Housekeeping staff are wonderful & even double checked when we went one day without needing them to make up our rooms. Even pool towels & laundry detergent were provided. Would definitely stay here again!

Really nice apartments for larger family groups, well located near shops and restaurants. The apartments are located near the wharf, restaurants and shops. Hemingway’s is just across the road and does fabulous food and drinks. Within five minutes walks of where the main reef cruises leave. We spent a week here and the apartment was really well appointed. There were three large bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with a spa bath) and a large kitchen. There is a Woolworths and BWS within five minutes walk. All facilities were suitable and functional. The Piermonde is also known to all the large tour groups who can all pick you up from this location. Only slight negative from my perspective is that the pool and spa are not heated (in May they were not overly pleasant). Not the end of the world, but a little disappointing given we targeted a room with direct access to the pool. Would certainly happily stay here again!

Quite one of the most refreshing pleasant and very comfortable also 100% totally relaxing stays I have enjoyed having away from home in a long time. Rejuvenate my mind body and soul with the sounds of some JAZZ tunes , ocean views, Esplande walks with a stroll through the night markets and zillions of cafes . Luxurious SPA bath and a huge King size bed, I unbeknown booked myself a 2 bedroom apartment/ 2 bathrooms 👍🏼
