Very impressive common area. All facility is renovated, clean, nice. Most comfy beds during our trip in Thailand. The best shower as well, good pressure with hot water. Very helpful staff, available 24/7. Very well designed rooms (we stayed there twice - they were very kind to let us leave our baggage for our one-week scooter trip). Would definitely stay there again.

Located across from the north gate the hostel is in my opinion the best value at $7. The bed is huge and comfy. There are extra 2 feet of space next to the bed for you to put luggages. I can stand up just fine in the cube (I am 5’3). Downside is only one toilet and one shower in the room. It may get busy in the morning. Huge common area on 1st floor and kitchen on the 2nd floor.

If you’re planning to stay anytime soon / over the next month just a heads up that there is loads of building work going on both ends of the building. The noise (in which extremely loud) is constant between 10am-7pm which we weren’t made aware of before booking our stay. Another heads up: we stayed in a private room on the ground floor next door to the linen room meaning we were woken up every morning to loud conversations, an extremely creaky door and lots of banging around. HOWEVER on a positive note our private room was very spacious and clean, the bed was comfy and the shower was fantastic. The room could have done with a table lamp though as the rooms are dark and have an grungy feel to them due to the colour of the walls. The main lights are too much when you’re trying to relax in the evening. Finally, it’s not a sociable hostel, so don’t expect to connect with anyone during your stay (unless we just got unlucky) - great working space / tables for working professionals though.
