We booked two rooms for our family on Christmas Eve and Day. Our room was a king room and was much bigger than I expected. The view was amazing! The room we got for our daughters was 2 doubles and was really small with an okay view ( you could see the ocean if you looked to the left). The service was good, but the pool area was quite small. Since it was chilly and cloudy, we used the hot tub which was a nice size. Considering the small pool area, I wouldn’t really consider this a resort. The location, however, is fantastic. You can easily walk to the beach, Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road. If you’re going to be going in and out, get the parking for $52 per day since it has unlimited in and outs. Otherwise, use the city parking garage on 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, with a max charge of $20 per day.

This hotel is located right by the beach, and it is value for money. However, if you are traveling with kids (family), this place doesn't have a microwave, kettle, and in room laundry. The room was a bit small but fine if you are just there to sleep at night while exploring places during the day. The location is central and walking distance to other places and local amenities. We celebrated New Years Eve here and went down to the beach to see the fireworks. The fireworks were amazing, a highlight to our trip. We also had an awesome experience dealing with the hotel staff and found them very friendly, helpful, and accommodating to us. If you don’t want to eat at the hotel, you can always Uber eats as it is quite close to some of the great restaurants around the area with some offering $0 delivery fee. We requested a late check out as our flight was in the evening, and they were happy to let us check out later. If you would like to lounge or go to the beach for a swim, towels and beach chairs are complimentary if you'd like to sit by the beach. However, there is a charge for Umbrella hire. At the beach, you can order your drinks and water is complimentary both at the beach and by the pool area

We were here for 3 nights - a quick weekend away to enjoy the beach. We splurged on an ocean view with balcony. The location was fantastic. Direct access to the boardwalk and beach. Pros: People working the pool and beach so they setup your towels and umbrella/cabana for you which prevented people from going out and 'claiming' chairs and then not showing up until mid-afternoon like happens at many resorts. Friendly, helpful staff members. We asked for a few extras (like a blanket) and they were delivered promptly. Front desk will hold your bags so you can enjoy the pool/beach after you checkout if you have a later flight. Room had plenty of space for 2 people. The Grove had good lunches - the wings & flatbread were very tasty. Location. Right on the beach and very walkable area. I ran on the boardwalk each morning & felt very safe. We were able to walk around at night to the restaurants and bars with no problems. Cons: Our room (646) you had to let the water run a good 10 minutes before the shower got warm/hot. Felt wasteful, but I wasn't about to take a cold shower. No fridge or coffee maker in the room that we could use. There was a minibar (very expensive) but we didn't want to take anything out to put in our stuff & then get charged for items. Room was a little worn - one light didn't work, floor molding was loose in one place, hairdryer had seen better days. It just needs some TLC. Food and drink service at the pool and beach was spotty. More often than not we ended up just going up & getting our own things.
