Fantastic, stylishly renovated art deco hotel and superb experience from check-in to check-out! We booked a 24-hour getaway from our two young kids and we’re thoroughly impressed by the room, quality of the food and drinks, beautiful design and great facilities. The hotel has a quality feel to it and anyone with an appreciation for aesthetics will not leave u impressed by the fantastic grand hall on the ground floor, complete with a giant mural or the beautifully restored Vestkantbade - formerly a public swimming pool - resplendent with original 1920’s and 30’s wood and tile work. A must stay for anyone visiting Oslo!

From the moment you step through its doors, you're greeted by an atmosphere that exudes timeless charm. The hotel boasts an array of restaurants and bars, each contributing to the overall allure of this exquisite establishment. One highlight that must not be missed is the cocktail bar on the 7th floor. With its panoramic views and expert mixologists, it's a haven for cocktail enthusiasts. Sipping a meticulously crafted drink while taking in the cityscape is an experience that encapsulates the essence of luxury. The breakfast at Sommerro Hotel deserves special mention. It's a feast for the senses, offering a diverse spread that caters to every palate. From continental delights to local specialties, the morning indulgence sets a perfect tone for the day. However, navigating through the hotel to find my room, especially room 269, proved to be a bit of a challenge. The layout seemed like a puzzle, and despite my best efforts, I found myself feeling like an unwitting participant in a maze adventure. While the allure of the hotel's classic design is undeniable, a clearer navigation guide to the rooms would be a welcome improvement. In conclusion, Sommerro Hotel is a classic gem in Oslo, delivering on its promise of refined luxury. From exceptional dining options to a top-notch cocktail bar, it offers a memorable stay, even if the path to your room might be a bit of a puzzle. It's a destination where the charm of the classic meets the allure of modern luxury.

My absolute favourite hotel in Oslo - from the interior decor to the food and staff to the vibe! Christmas is probably my favourite! Big fan!

The location is great. The service givers were very kind and helpful. *Especially the manager of room service. I felt everyone was there just for me, and it is such a big hotel. I was staying in suite 501, and it was unexpectedly amazing - the pictures & words can not describe it... highly recommended 👌 I haven't got the chance to eat breakfast, it was closed by 10:00 But at the restaurants... the food and drinks made very good👍 The small art deco details made me feel I am in the titanic 😀 A nice thing, I have got fresh cookies every day .. (I love cookies) & the nicest thing, the roof pool & sauna were all for me . That was amazing. Few things for improvement : 1. I didn't know about the movies , only when I left. 2. I was at massage, the bed wasn't comfortable, and the other masseurs were very noisy and shotted doors in a way I couldn't get peace and relaxation. 3. I was at the reception 4 times in the same hour to get my key access to the water&ice room. Eventually, they sent someone to bring water & ice, but I still haven't had access . (Even when he left me another key - that still didn't work) 4. There is a line of people waiting for check-in , why there is only one person at the reception ? That's it 😀 Thank you, Sommerro, I would definitely come back again. Sincerely, Coral 🪸

If I could give Sommerro 10 stars, I would. This is hands down one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. From Emma at the front desk (thank you for being so kind and accommodating) to the amazing team at the spa (book a facial with Cornelia, she’s amazing), I had such a wonderful experience. Dinner and live music at the restaurant were fantastic - the food was superb. Thank you Sommerro staff for making my stay so memorable. I will be back :)
