A wonderful hotel in a great location. Can get to most of the main attractions in Chiang Mai in about 10 minutes by scooter. One of our favourites of all the places we stayed during a month in Thailand. Rooms and common spaces were always kept clean. Breakfast was good.

Somwang is a decent 3 star hotel with resonably sized, clean rooms, super comfortable bed (9.2 for the bed) and a fantastic location in the heart of the old town. Be forewarned that when they say they have parking spaces, they have 2 (TWO) parking spaces! Make sure you inform them if you need parking (I did and had no problem). There is no lift (elavator) and my room was on the 3rd floor so ask for a low floor if you have mobility issues. Apart from that, all good. Definitely recommended!

Great hotel in the center with a clean pool. The staff is great. The hotel is a bit dated for those who expect 5* for a decent price. All in all great value, great location and great service.

We spend a day here to enjoy the Songkran festival around the area. I like the authentic vibe of the room's interior design. The price is reasonable. The service is excellent. The staff are pleasant, approachable and accommodating. There are variety of yummy foods and drinks to choose from. You can even ask staff for additional orders. Our rooms is in front of the swimming floor and my two daughters really love it.
