I am only rating this based on what I experienced as I didn’t stay in a room or have a meal. I sat in the lounge with a coffee and some snacks. I really enjoyed the decor and how well that this ship has been maintained. It is in a great location and is a nice place to go to relax, talk and enjoy the company of friends and have something to eat and drink. I will visit again and experience more but I am impressed with this ship and the people that staff it.

This past weekend my girlfriend and I spent a night on the SS Rotterdam. The ship is located near lots of public transport which will take you to the city center quickly. The room was nice and more spacious than I expected. Very clean and with a complementary coffee machine. After having explored the city we had dinner at the Lido Grill and enjoyed the great food. After which we ended the night in the Captains Lounge with some drinks. All in all a fantastic and atmospheric location to spend the night when you are in Rotterdam.

We stayed one night in a nice, spacious, clean but expensive room. The breakfast is amazing, but not included. Unfortunately, we couldn’t open any windows for fresh air. The atmosphere on the ship is amazing and you can do a tour with guide that takes you all the way to the engine rooms!

We had a great tour on board incl the upper decks and engine rooms! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, we even got some extra stories and explanations from some of the staff there. The engine room is very cool to see. We took a water taxi from the centre to go there (4.5 per person) and took their free shuttle when leaving, to go to Rijnhaven metro station. There is also a bus to get there but it doesn't go very often. All in all a great experience. We also had a high wine at their Ocean wine bar, I would really recommend it!

Would totally recommend the tour. The guides are really knowledgeable and friendly and actually worked on the ship when she was in service. Amazing to see all the wonderfully preserved areas of the ship, both the beautiful passenger rooms and the behind the scenes areas such as the bridge and engine rooms. The latter costs extra but is well worth it. It's the closest most people will get to experiencing the age of the ocean liners, unless you travel to California to see Queen Mary, but Rotterdam is far more original.
