Our second time staying at this hotel, and I don't think I would ever stay anywhere else in Rotterdam! I love this hotel for so many reasons. The breakfast is brilliant with so many options to choose from. Their pastries are delicious and they have a great variety of bread on offer! They also have a wide range of teas (the strawberry and forest fruit ones are lovely!) Rooms are excellent with comfy beds, Nespresso machines and a great TV. We stayed in a river view superior room and the views were incredible! The bathroom was one of my favourite parts, with a rain shower and a really deep bath that was great to relax in. Staff were always friendly and welcoming, and were there to help with anything we needed. They have a luggage room which we used on our final day as we had a late flight home. Always felt very safe and secure at this hotel. In terms of location, I couldn't have asked for more. Wonderful views of the Maas and the Erasmus Bridge. Easy connections to anywhere in the city via tram and metro. Neatest metro is Leuvehaven which is only a short walk away. There are also multiple trams that stop next to the metro, and one that stops right outside the hotel (number 7.) Overall, the hotel was perfect to relax in after exploring the City during the day. The facilities were excellent and I was so upset that we had to leave. We will definitely be coming back!

Beyond my wildest expectations for a 3 star hotel! Fantastic location. Front desk staff was very helpful. I woke up to the splendid Erasmus bridge and Nieuwe Maas river view. Room was rather spacious and clean. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Nice hotel in a well sound location, getting to it is easy enough either walking or public transport only a short walk to a tram stop, staff are friendly and the place is clean and comfortable, can't comment on the breakfast as I didn't have any.

Regrettably, I must caution you about my recent experience at the Thon Hotel, nestled in a rather unpleasant corner of Rotterdam. My stay was nothing short of disappointing, with a myriad of issues that left me yearning for a swift departure. To begin with, the staff exhibited a level of unfriendliness and unresponsiveness that bordered on indifference. From the moment I checked in, it was abundantly clear that their hospitality training had gone astray. Any attempt to seek assistance or even a simple smile was met with cold stares and a lack of willingness to address my concerns. The room I was assigned to was nothing short of a nightmare. The moment I opened the door, I was greeted by an overwhelming stench of stale air and musty floors. The level of cleanliness was simply appalling, as dirt and grime seemed to have taken up permanent residence on every surface. The worn-out furnishings and outdated decor only added to the overall sense of dilapidation. If the sorry state of the room wasn't enough, the services offered were equally abysmal. The promised amenities were either non-existent or in such a pitiable state that they should have been better left untouched. The Wi-Fi was unreliable at best, and the television had more static than discernible channels. To make matters worse, the room service was painfully slow, and the quality of the food was well below par. But perhaps the most distressing aspect was the hotel's location in a less desirable neighborhood. The surroundings were uninviting, with dilapidated buildings and an unsettling atmosphere that left me feeling unsafe. The noise from the streets throughout the night further hindered any chance of a peaceful rest. In conclusion, I implore you to steer clear of the Thon Hotel in Rotterdam. The unfriendliness and unresponsiveness of the staff, coupled with the overall dirtiness and ugliness of the room, and the subpar services offered, make this an establishment best avoided. Explore the many other wonderful accommodations Rotterdam has to offer, and ensure your stay is a pleasant one.
