We stayed 3 nights and had the best experience at this hotel. The hotel is located just off san marco square, very central to eateries, water taxis and shopping. The room was huge with a kitchen, sitting area and very clean. Beautiful big bathroom and great full it was a shower. Most places we stayed in Europe had shower/bath combo, this place didn't however could have used some bench space. Breakfast was fabulous was fresh and a good variety including bacon and eggs. We were given a free Murante tour by the Hotel, water taxi to the glass factory which is really lovely and interesting. The hotel staff are very helpful and always greeted with a smile. The whole area is relaxed and completely car free, bike and scooter free which made it really pleasant walking around the cobblestone streets without dodging traffic or scooters. Overall would stay at the hotel again. Would recommend a visit to Venice a little expensive but worth it.

Terrible experience with hotel. Received room with no hot water and no air conditioning. They tried to fix and could not. Avoided communication with us on the attempted repairs. It was 95+ plus those days in Venice. We then after complaining numerous times received another room only to notice they shut off the breaker for the air conditioning. I complained and they turned it on with just 9 hours left before we were departing from hotel. I asked for a credit for some of the cost and was promised they would give one. When it was time to actually give the credit they said no. Dishonesty is the one thing I can’t stand the most.

Take a look at their website, and then my photos. Shabby. Definitely not " luxury Venetian " the kitchenette has 2 burners that have been disconnected- so it's just a small fridge and microwave. One has to request glasses if needed. The livingroom had a threadbare carpet with a couch that had a sheet tucked around it and 2 patio furniture fake rattton chairs wirh stained cushions. The bedroom was less than romantic. The box spring was on the floor- no bedframe. It consisted of 2 single beds pushed together- created a split that you Definitely feel as if you roll over. Keep in mind this was the " superior deluxe suite.' It was spacious with a nice patio- but that's the only positive thing about it.

WARNING: guests should know that Torre dell’Orologio Suites is no longer operating as a hotel. If you go to the address above, you won’t get in. It’s now part of the Royal San Marco Hotel, which is around the block. It clearly WAS once a separate hotel because there’s an empty lobby desk, no longer used. The biggest problem here is that guests are being sold rooms in a hotel that doesn’t exist. Yes, after a lot of confusion and walking we did get access to our room, which has a separate entrance from the street (not through the hotel lobby). But when we discovered the wifi didn’t work, the RSM hotel staff couldn’t help us, because they didn’t know how to fix it in a separate building. Etc. Clearly the owners of the RSM acquired the Torre hotel but didn’t add extra staff or maintenance people. In general, the staff seemed to be trying their best, but they weren’t equipped to deal with the situation.

I stayed in the executive apartments with my family. We arrived quite late in the evening and were put in rooms smaller than we had anticipated. However, the next morning the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and arranged for us to move to much better rooms. The rooms are clean and spacious. The air-con isn't amazing but the windows open wide. Luckily the windows are also double-glazed so the sound of the bells from the church aren't too loud! Great location, literally two minutes from St Mark's square.
