Vatican Tourist Inn

We rented this hotel with a young man for 7 nights. I think the hosts will recognize us from my review. I'll just list what happened during these days: 1. WE FOUND LICE AND BED BUGS IN OUR ROOM!!! They bit my boyfriend from head to toe, now we will solve this problem for a long time. The staff knew that this happened to us and only offered to change the room, they apologized a couple of times, they didn’t really want to return the money 2. The room was cleaned terribly. Either they didn’t bring shampoo, they didn’t take out the garbage, then they just didn’t do ANYTHING ON CLEANING 3. The coffee machine did not work in the room, when we were drunk “in their best room”, they asked us to change it - they changed it, the next day they changed it again without knowing it to another, NOT WORKING 4. There was hair, not much, but it was very unpleasant 5. The air conditioner smelled when you turned it on. A lot of indignation, not contentment. I think this hotel should be closed immediately!

**BED BUGS BEWARE** Absolute nightmare of experience. I booked a completely different hotel which had much nicer rooms, receptionist, and location. Upon arriving to hotel retalis, they informed me that there was a “plumbing issues” and had relocated me to hotel Vatican tourist (5min further from downtown Rome). They then asked me to walk to ANOTHER hotel to pay the $14 city tax fee. I reached out to the host via booking.com for a refund or change back to the hotel I booked and they apologized and waived the $14 city tax as if they were providing a discount and said there was nothing they could do. Upon arriving at Vatican Tourist, there was a harsh smell and they informed me I could not check in yet as the room has yet to be cleaned. They allowed me to drop off my luggage in the room and the first thing I noticed was the bed was undone and torn apart as if someone was looking for something. I now know why the last guest tore up the bed. I did not do my due diligence on this hotel as it was switched LAST minute. After one night there, we were comfortable and decided to enjoy our stay. I received a few bites which I disregarded as possible mosquitoes bites. The second night I woke up at 3am to excessive itching and over 25 bites across my body including 5 on my face. I searched the mattress and found 4 bed bugs and left immediately. Now I have to find somewhere to go at 5am due to this situation. I do not typically write reviews but this was a horrible experience and a terrible management company to allow this after so many complaints!
