The Balvenie 19 Week of Peat is a limited edition single malt Scotch whisky from the renowned Speyside distillery. This expression was created by Malt Master David Stewart, who has been at The Balvenie for over 50 years. It is made with barley that has been peated to 20ppm
... and then aged in ex bourbon casks for 19 weeks before being bottled at 48 percent ABV without chill filtration or added colouring. On the nose it offers aromas of sweet smoke, honeycomb and heather while on the palate there are notes of smoky bacon, vanilla and dried fruits leading to a long finish with hints of spice and oak woodsmoke.
