About Chennai

Valluvar Kottam 

Valluvar Kottam is a vast auditorium that can accommodate at least 4000 people. It was built as a monument to remember the famous poet and saint Thiruvalluvar. There is also an arch and a Kural Manimandapam, which contains verses from the poet's most famous work – Thirukural. These verses are inscribed on the walls and pillars of the Manimandapam. The monument was inaugurated in 1976.
