Apartamentos Boutique Vida

My whole experience here was beyond horrible. We were looking for Boutique Vida Apartments for ages, on Google Maps. I finally asked someone from another hotel and she seemed worn out of this particular question and said that they are not Boutique Vida, they are actually called Halo hotel. So we walked to where she directed us, which was neither, it was Elvira Hotel! So I asked the young lady at reception, was this Halo hotel or Boutique Hotel or…? She ignored every question I asked meanwhile shaking her head and making exasperated noises and not making eye contact during check-in. We silently walked to Halo hotel around the corner and put the luggage away at 10am. We arrived back at 3:30pm, 3pm is check-in time. Long story short: The apartment was away from the hotel, there was no elevator, which was not stated on the website. We walked up the stairs with luggage in tow and the apartment was in disarray. The cleaners didn't clean it yet, even after we told the front desk in the morning at 10am that we arrived already and please let us know when the apartment is ready. I asked to be moved to the hotel because i was with my 74-year-old mom that also had an injured leg from traveling and since the room is not ready, give us a room in the hotel with the elevator, please. The wifi was down, including the front desk so they couldn't check for rooms. I told them that I had to start work online in 15 minutes and the room is not ready AND they don't have wifi in the main hotel too? I had to cancel my meetings, a whole day of wages lost and loss of confidence from my clients. When I told the manager, he said that I can tether my phone to my laptop...ok. They moved us to another apartment on the ground floor, which resolved the stairs situation and my mother's injured leg BUT there was no wifi. When I told the hotel about the wifi, we were told the apartments are not really 'theirs'. Sidenote: the manager was telling us that it was an area-wide problem with the wifi, but restaurants and bars close by had wifi and so did the dining room of the hotel, which I ended up using the 2nd day, so… Next, the hot water wasn't working, I was turning the handle both directions, a couple of minutes each at a time and there was black mold everywhere in the shower. PLUS, I realized before the shower, phones don't receive any signal in that particular suite either, think bomb shelter, so tethering was impossible and I had work the next day. So in the middle of the night, this was enough problems for me to have to get dressed and go back to the reception in a separate building for the umpteenth time, to tell them everything and the receptionist said that i'll have to talk to the manager again tomorrow. He came to the apartment to adjust something on the top floor for the hot water problem. The hot water worked after. The next day, I requested a refund for the remaining days and got out of there. First suite: -No elevator (not stated on the website) -Old building -Room was not ready -Address doesn't exist Halo Hotel: -No wifi the first day -Employees couldn't do anything because the front desk had no connection either -No vacancy, even for exceptional circumstances, such as an elderly, injured woman Second suite: -Hot water dodgy -Can't receive signal on phones -No wifi -The moldiest shower I have ever seen -Any rental/commercial accommodation should advise you that there is no elevator on the website -Why is it called Boutique Vida if there is no Boutique Vida? -There should always be wifi and mobile signal, just generally speaking (modern day necessities) -Stable connection of running hot water in the shower is also a necessity- -Why are there separate apartments that the hotel claims is not managed by them, but managed by them? -Cleanliness of the shower of the second apartment was the worst that I have ever seen The male day/night receptionists were courteous and tried their best but this establishment fell short terribly for even the most basic of standards.

My daughter and I stayed in one of the apartments that had a top terrace which provided an absolutely stunning view of the cathedral. The hotel has a wide variety of room options that would suit any need. Our apartment was well appointed and so unique. Very easy to walk to all the beautiful sites in Sevilla. The hotel staff is simply outstanding. They or so friendly and knowledgeable of the city. If staying in Sevilla, I highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
