This was our first stay at a hotel, as a family. Although the room was small, we had a pleasant experience. There were free chocolates on the TV stand when we walked in, along with a personal note. The staff was on top of the communication game and responded to requests promptly and clearly. The no-contact check-in and checkout was smooth and hassle-free. Even prior to our stay, when we had reached out to the staff, they were very responsive and helpful. That's a big plus in this industry. The room was clean and had the basic amenities one looks for. The location is as good as it gets, in a city like this.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, but too dark and without any view. The location itself is perfect, right next to the main street. Everything in the hotel is digitized and there is no staff, so if you don't have constant internet or your phone runs out, you will have a big problem even entering the facility, which is not the most practical.

This was a new experience for me since I have always stayed at hotels that have a reception. The customer service was very much on top of the reservation and constantly communicated with us, which helped a lot with questions. The room was one of the cleanest and prettiest rooms we have stayed for the price we paid. All the details, polaroid camera, water bottles to use while staying, the room scent was very nice and all the little touches (including a welcoming note and some chips, coffee, and chocolate) made our stay extra special. I very much recommend this hotel of you are in Oslo. The amount of space in the room was great too.

Updated: A staff member came by to the room around 10:30am the day after check-in and assisted us with the problems we were experiencing. She upgraded us to a new room, and offered our entire party complimentary breakfast. ———— Not recommended. No staff, the reception doesn’t resolve issues, construction across the street starts at 7am, and there isn’t an easy way to get into your room (it’s done through a random portal on a different web browser). We are a mixed family group of 4 traveling from LA and this place has been anything but comfortable; wish I had just stayed at a conventional hotel I read all reviews prior to reserving, and most say this place has prompt communication. I truly haven’t had this experience. Yes, they reply but no, they don’t resolve. I have rooms with light and heating that don’t work and they don’t send a team member to fix the issue, and it really just isn’t friendly for more than one room reservation. I’ve booked three rooms, and all the codes are on my phone - so I have to individually check each family member into their room. I requested assistance with this and it was never delivered. This is basically just a slightly elevated hostal.
