Burirattana Hotel - Adults Only

Such a horrible experience, never again. The service in this hotel is a disaster. We arrived for a 4 night stay; and we specified a quiet room at booking after reading from fellow reviews about noise. Initially, they assigned a room facing away from the main road, which was good. However, we went into the room and it was flooded as the Aircon was leaking, even the side of the bed was wet. We reported and they say technician need time to come. They seems lost as to what to do. We got a change of room but this time, they assigned a room facing the main road! When challenged about noise, they said they have not received any complaints. After a few minutes (and we started unpacking), a knock on the door from another service person, saying the room may not be suitable due to noise. Here we are, changing room for the 2nd time. Overall, a very bad start to our stay at this hotel. The breakfast service is even worse. Everyday they forget something. First day and second day, they have to be reminded of food that did not arrive. The service is also slow; food takes on average 15-25 mins to come. On the final day, we have to tell them we do not have cutleries, and the coffee did not come at all even after all the food have been served. I noticed the coffee person behind the counter was not doing anything, decided to remind them of the coffee. Then, they started to prepare and it took another 10 mins before the coffee finally arrived at the end of the breakfast. An absolute disaster! No explanation or apology was offered; and I speak Thai, so language is not an issue. In comparison, the price of this hotel is on the more expensive side, yet the service standard is way worse than other hotels we have stayed. They have so many staff around the hotel, yet when it comes to solving problems, they are sorely lacking. When we were there, they were not too busy, including the restaurant; so it is not a capacity issue. On the positive side, the location is great; near popular visiting sites and Tha Phae gate, and the building architecture is quite instagrammable. If you are considering this hotel, I would say do not bother; you get less frustrations and more value elsewhere. An analogy would be like buying a beautiful phone but having a crab operating system.

Stayed for 3 nights, room nice and cozy, 28 square m enough space, quiet at night, bathing items are awesome, efficient services, reception with great attitude, public facilities not too big but clean enough, spa and brunch at first floor, very convenient, and it’s ideal centered location saves us a lot of time getting to places. Will visit next time.
