Great value for money. It took about 20 minutes to walk to the main river which was easy. Buses were from outside the hotel and very frequent. Rooms were good size and also very clean Staff we very friendly and welcoming. We took their restaurant recommendations and were happy with them all Thanks for a lovely stay

Nice hotel just outside of the city centre. Good breakfast and some wonderful views from the rooms. Te & coffee available in the rooms. Friendly staff on hand to help out. Bus stop for the airport is a couple of minutes walk away.

Alright before this scathing review, i want to give the service staff a shoutout. They were incredibly welcoming. 10/10 services staff. The AC is good. This hotel is infested with mold and mildew. My wife and I woke up coughing sneezing red eyes. Its musty in the rooms. There is significant water damage. The entire hotel needs better ventilation. We had to change hotels. I have asthma and it just overwhelmed me. The shower head in our room was falling off the wall. I do not recommend staying here if you are sensitive to mold and mildew.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn for a two-night stay, and unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. While there were some positives, such as the decent breakfast and eventually getting omelettes, the overall stay left much to be desired. Firstly, the room arrangement was quite inconvenient. Despite booking multiple rooms, they were allocated in different corners of the hotel. Two rooms were situated on the first floor, while another was on the ground floor. This lack of proximity made it difficult for our group to stay together and enjoy our time together. Furthermore, the behavior of the staff during our check-in was highly disappointing. We arrived late, around 11:30 pm, and unfortunately, his customer service skills were severely lacking. When we requested a luggage trolley, he was unable to accommodate us and, moreover, displayed a rude and unprofessional attitude towards us. This type of behavior is unacceptable, especially when guests are tired and in need of assistance. On a positive note, the breakfast provided at the hotel was satisfactory. However, it is worth mentioning that initially, the staff refused to serve omelettes. It was only after some persistence that they finally prepared them for us. While we appreciate the eventual accommodation, it was disheartening to encounter resistance in the first place. Overall, my stay at the Holiday Inn was marred by room allocation issues and the discourteous behavior of staff during check-in. The breakfast experience, while eventually satisfactory, started off on a disappointing note. I hope that the hotel management takes these issues seriously and works towards improving their customer service and room allocation process. Despite the positives, I would hesitate to recommend the Holiday Inn based on my personal experience.

We were very disappointed by our stay in the Holiday Inn Salzburg City. We expected a 4* quality and Holiday Inn standard. Instead, what we got, was a lower 3* standard and many inconveniences: The most disturbing one was a very bad smell of humidity and drain odors in the bathroom (a problem the hotel staff must have been aware of before our arrival, as we could smell cleaning agents, probably used to cover the bad smell, when entering the room for the first time). Also, the air conditioner was super loud and couldn't be left on at night. Last but not least, we were woken up at 8 in the morning by noisy housekeeping staff, rumbling around in the hallway. We definitely don't recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a pleasant stay in Salzburg.
