After dragging luggage from the boat after a long flight, we were greeted with a big smile by Pierre at the reception. He saw we were exhausted and told us to have a seat in the courtyard. Brought us drinks and snacks while they were getting our room ready. What a nice welcome that was. And the rest of our stay was exceptional, too. Quietest hotel stay ever. Staff was very kind and the breakfast buffet was perfect every morning. When we return to Venice, this will be our hotel again!

A wonderful secret spot in Venice with a very good value for money! The courtyard is an incredibly welcoming space, where you can relax in quietness away from the busy environment of Venice. Also, the people there where very friendly! Loved it!

My daughter and I had a wonderful time staying at the Casa Verardo hotel and we’d highly recommend it to other travellers. The hotel is conveniently situated only five minutes away from the San Marco square and the San Zaccaria vaporetto station. It was therefore easy for us to quickly reach the heart of city while also being able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the somewhat remote street, where the hotel is located. The whole place has a charming atmosphere and the interiors are beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was continental, with sufficient choice of sweet and savoury foods, including some gluten-free pastry as well. I especially have to commend the hotel staff who were all incredibly friendly and helped us with everything we needed, including allowing us to keep our luggage at the hotel for a few hours after checking out. We look forward to coming back at some point for sure!

I'm writing on behalf of my French mother-in-law who is not computer literate. She went to Venice fro a 4 day trip with her new partner (quite an elderly gent). On arrival at the water taxi rank, his wallet (containing his passport, credit cards and 600€) was stolen leaving this elderly couple stranded, penniless in Venice at the start of their first mini-break together. The Hotel Casa Verardo (and especially the excellent reception/concierge I spoke to) were incredible in helping them. They lent them some money for lunch and for water taxis as we tried to wire them cash via Western Union. This was not as straightforward due to so much miss-information on the WU website, but due to the concierge's phone calls was sorted out quickly. (NB There is only 1 Western Union agent in Venice in the main plaza). The cash help allowed my mother-in-law and partner to de-stress, catch their breath before heading out via water taxi (arranged to wait and return the couple to the hotel before being paid) and pick up the money we had sent over. They wanted me to write to thank the staff, mention the lovely rooms and the magnificent breakfasts as well as sharing how brilliant the hotel were in helping to enjoy their trip to Venice after such a dreadful start. For hotel: Their booking was in the name of Mr Boucher.

There are many hotels for a long weekend romantic getaway to Venice. What distinguishes Casa Verardo is the above and beyond service provided by Alessandro. He attended to our every need and made sure we had a romantic stay in Venice. He gave expert local advice on restaurants and secured tickets at an exclusive Vivaldi event for us. His attention to detail let us focus on a spectacular visit to Venice. The room was spacious, very private, and luxurious.
