We made the reservation quite late and was left with limited choices as prices had skyrocketed. Chose this hotel after comparing with a few and didn't have much expectation as the exterior of the hotel looks very old in photos. However, it was better than expected as the interior was still quite decent and clean. The room felt clean and looked alright but was a bit dark with limited lighting. However the plus point was the strong air conditioning. Breakfast was very basic with bread/cereal/ ham and cheese and that's about it. Sufficient to fill up but nothing fancy. Overall it was a good enough hotel for a 1 night stay.

This hotel has a perfect location.But for us it was just that.The lobby and our room smelled like a sewer..Our room was next to the elevator so it was loud all night long and early in the morning.I don't know if they stole my underwear but i couldn't find it after coming back ( they had been inside to clean the room ). The floor was dirty and there were dead mosquitos on the walls.First night there was no soap or shampoo.We got those the second day.Breakfast is really small but we were pretty happy with it since we are ok with a croissant or some cheese and bread.They had yogurts,ham,salami,one type of bread,croissant,packaged marmelades/nutella/honey..It is enough..and the woman who made our coffees was very kind.Personally I wouldn't go there again..

I went to the hotel with low expectations given the reviews. My overall experience was definitely positive. In terms of price, it is a very reasonable option indeed. Location: to access the hotel, aim for the Trattoria alla Scala, then you will see the door marked Citta di Milano. In terms of location it is excellent for San Marco. Rooms: excellent room. Bathroom very clean and lovely decorations in the room too. Service: advertised with a 24hr desk however upon arrival I had to phone numbers listed on the door as no one was attending the reception at 7pm in a Thursday. Also when checking out at 7am, be aware that you have to drop keys elsewhere. Thank you Città di Milano for a good stay overall.

An okay hotel. They start cleaning the hotel around seven o'clock. You could easily hear people talk in the other rooms as well. The breakfast was very bland and we got tired of it after just two days, but since we had already paid for it, we felt we at least could drink some coffes and espressos. Those were good. The hotel's staff were friendly and helpful, but it was a little bit strange that they always reccomended the restaurants that were tourist friendly. This meant that the dishes were very "safe" and therefore very bland. Also, the tourist tax is paid in cash, so take some money out before you get there.
