Walked back and forth to the beach and to dinner over our stay over the weekend. Unbeatable walkability for a hotel here. Rooms were fantastic with the renovations. Water in a jug at the entrance is a welcome amenity after a walk. Heated outdoor pool? Wow. The outdoor restaurant and the fireplace was lovely for breakfast. The bikes with a 2 hour free rental and $5 an hour after, straight from the hotel without needing to hassle with a shop in town? Lovely! We made good use of that going to La Jolla Cove and onward. But most of all, it was the service of the staff. There are some gems working here, hold onto them! Give Eddie a raise, that guys awesome.

Great location with very cute patio and pool deck with great views of the ocean and green space from our higher floor room. Nicely decorated common areas and friendly front desk and breakfast staff. Breakfast was very nice too. La Jolla cove was few mins driving and within walking distance was some pretty nice area with restaurants, shops and bars.

We stayed a night at this hotel and had a fine experience. The view is really nice and it has an easy walk to some really nice spots in La Jolla. It's a little on the pricey side, but it does look like they are making some nice updates to the property. The bar has some decent drink selections and a nice out-door fire-place for when its a little chilly.

Stayed for 3 nights over Halloween. It was quiet at night, great views, see through shower was interesting BUT they are doing construction and started very loud drilling every day by 8am. When I asked if they can at least wait until 9am, they said sure. Then the next morning drilling started again at 8am. Very disappointed with my stay. It was not relaxing and rejuvenating as I hoped. When I complained at check out they only comped one breakfast. They shouldn't have the hotel open during this loud renovation or greatly discount the room rates. There's no pool either and parking was $39 a night. Seemed pretty pricey. Would not stay here again. Next visit to La Jolla will choose another hotel..

I would totally avoid this hotel-- they are doing renovations so the no top floor restaurant or bar. Just a little food they serve on plastic plates and cocktails in plastic cups (no pool, just plastic). The rooms are old and dirty-- mold bubbles in the shower drywall, the light switches are so dirty they are stained. Our room smells like cigarettes. And if you want to sleep with the slider open then be prepared to listen to traffic rumbling by all night. All this for $500 a night. No thanks. Hard pass.
