For a selfish reason, I was hesitate to write this review as I am afraid JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo would become even more popular and leads to higher room rate. For more than 10 years since our 1st visit to Sapporo, we always stay here and no plan to try other hotel. We consider JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo our home in Sapporo. Good... no... Best location, Decent size of room, fluffy bath towels, comfortable mattress and pillows. Cheerful staff.

I loved this hotel as a California traveler visiting with my daughter. Big rooms - check. Friendly staff - check. Best location in Sapporo - big check. Everywhere we wanted to go was a short walk away and in winter - the underground tunnels that start at this property made the BIGGEST difference in the world. Starbucks and Paul stores next door to the lobby didn’t hurt either!!!
