I would rate this hotel 4 stars, but I had a great time in Rome, so, 5 it is. PROS: - location, location, location. This location is excellent. Close to all historic sites. Close to all highly rated restaurants. Close to many beautiful and frequented plazas. - The room was clean, large, with A/C. - very high ceilings. - The bathroom was large and clean, great water pressure. - We stayed in room 3, you could open the windows to the outside which was lovely in the mornings. CONS: - Some street noise at night - some inside noise, sounds can be heard from the adjacent rooms when other guests use hairdryers or talk in their bathroom (there’s an echo) - there was no full length mirror :( - our mini fridge did not work - our TV did not work (not even satellite channels) - general confusion on hotel name and check-in Long story short, this place is called Unico Argentina, but the check-in desk for these suites (where you pay room cost and tax) is at a different location, called ‘Hotel Mimosa’. The emails to check-in at ‘Hotel Mimosa’ were very confusing from the beginning. There was no note telling us to go to a different location to check-in or the relationship between Unico Argentina and Hotel Mimosa. Either way, we could get into the Unico Argentina room with ease because of the great instructions sent to us with pictures of keys and doors. We kindly received a call from staff urging us to please go to Hotel Mimosa and pay our room fee, which was the only reason we went there at all (!).
