A really nice hotel. Friendly staff and so helpful. The rooms are clean, tidy, equipped with everything you need. Each room has its own tablet which you can use to access info about the hotel, restaurant, schedule or postpone cleaning your room and so on. The furniture is brand new and the lobby is very colorful and welcoming. You can even place arcade games. Ha! Lovely touch, imo.

We stayed here on an apparently busy weekend and paid 235,00 EUR per night which in my opinion is way too much for what it is. I was shocked at seeing the prices for hotels in Hamburg so Nyx seemed like a good option. The interior design of the room and the lobby is nice and the room was very clean, but the problem was the bathroom door. - There wasn't one. - The bed and the bathroom are divided by a sliding glass door which does not close the bathroom off properly - there is a 5 cm gap so you literally hear everything (see image below). I do not want to be crude, however, if you are not travelling alone but with a best friend or your partner, that is a problem and it made me feel very uncomfortable. The hotel is centrally located: the train station (and several bus stations) are just around the corner and the next stop is Hamburg main station. The area is not residential but rather commercial with a lot of office buildings and unfortunately without any cafés or restaurants in the immediate neighbourhood. But since it is well serviced by busses and trains that is not a problem. Unfortunately, I forgot my beloved hot water bottle in our room and when I called in the afternoon (we had checked out at 11 am) it had unfortunately disappeard and was probably thrown out by housekeeping. I found it very strange that personal items are not kept in Lost & Found for at least a day or so, however, the person I contacted at reception was friendly and tried to help. We did not have breakfast.

Modern styled hotel and room. Very welcoming feeling and staff were helpful. Adequate sized room, great shower and clean. One minor point to add is how slippy the toilet floor becomes when wet. I slipped while moving into bedroom area and my foot hut the raised tile seperating rooms and caused quite a painful bruise and scrape. Hotel is 5 mins from public transport so perfect location. A minor pet hate while travelling Europe is their double bed arrangement, normally just 2 singles put together! Nothing more annoying than falling through the gap in the middle of the night 🤣 not hotel specific seems to be the norm. Bed was comfortable, as were pillows. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. I would stay here again.
