Perfect hotel for exploring Bath! Lovely room with a great breakfast and only a short walk into the centre of this beautiful City! Comfortable bed and our room had a jacuzzi bath and balcony with great views over the city. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again without question.

THEIR SAUSAGES ARE GLUTEN FREE!!! Good, now that I've gotten that out of the way, back to the review. The B&B is located on a steep hill about 15 minutes walk from the bus/train station and city centre. If you're arriving in Bath by public transport and don't like walking up hills, I recommend a bus - the number 4 line stops pretty much outside of the house. There is limited parking for those arriving by car. The garden looks pretty and could be nice to relax in with a drink if you have the time. The interior decor is fine - nothing special, but not bad. The room has what you would expect from a 4* accommodation and the bed was comfortable. I was a bit doubtful when I booked to stay in this my first B&B, thinking it would be noisy staying in a house with other guests, but I had a peaceful night. Staff were professional right from check-in to check-out. The breakfast was incredible - the best I've had in any 4* or 5* accommodation in the UK. I selected the cooked breakfast and was elated (as you can probably tell) to find out that the sausages were gluten free! They will bring you gluten free toast on request and have gluten free cereal, too, as well as freshly sliced fruit, yoghurt, juice and flavoured water. Coffee was just a pot of coffee, nothing special, but it had caffeine and woke me up, so it did its job. I would definitely stay here again if I'm stopping in Bath.

Absolutely magical! Even on the gloomiest winters day you can feel the sunshine exuding from the staff and the residents you may be lucky enough to encounter. We are already planning another (longer) stay!!

Oldfields House was a really lovely stay for me and my girlfriend, the room was great and despite being in the attic was really warm and cosy. There was a tv above the bed which was nice to watch Netflix on in the evening and the toilet had good facilities (shower was nice!) The woman at the desk was lovely and very helpful, she was obviously very proud of the house, and rightfully so; it's a lovely Victorian mansion. Oldfields house is only about 10-15 mins from the city centre, and although it's situated on top of a hill it's not too bad a climb to get to. Only issue I can think of looking at the price is apparently parking is £10 a night, despite it saying it's free parking on their website!!
