We chose this hotel because it is close to the motorway and therefore ideal for a stopover on the way from France to Switzerland. There is plenty of parking and even an underground car park. The whole hotel and the rooms are beautifully decorated, well kept and clean. The spa area has everything you need to relax. The dinner in the restaurant was fantastic and the breakfast buffet was amazing, offering everything you could imagine. All staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. Highly recommended!

Overall the room is nice, but the customer service is very bad. When we check out and pay the bill, the front desk asked do we prefer pay by Euros or Taiwan dollars, of course we said in Euros, but the front desk choose the wrong option which cause we had to pay about more 8~10% additional commission fee! We asked to cancel this bill and make a correct one, but they said they can not do anything and didn’t offer any compensation neither!! The false is from your staff to cause client had to pay a lot additional fee and you didn’t do anything to make it up！Also you didn’t training your staff well for using the credit card machine which cause this fault!

The hotel amenities were excellent.Loved our room. I really appreciated the effort the hotel goes to be green. Some good initiatives other hotels could do well to copy. The location is excellent for the water activities of the lake, just across the road. Swimming, boarding, kayaking etc. It is about a 25 min walk to the old part of town for the boats restaurants, and old town sights. The walk is very easy, and if you walk along the lake front, very picturesque.

Our stay at the Rivage Hotel was mostly very enjoyable. The reception and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the modern style of the hotel and its lakeside location. The breakfast was delicious and catered for all tastes and the availability of a Nespresso machine in the room was a definite bonus! Our only disappointment was the poor level of housekeeping which didn't match the standard of the rest of the hotel. We returned one day to find multiple hairs all over the floor. After blo-drying, masses of hair ends up on the floor and we were dismayed to find they were still there on our return, so the room had clearly not been vacuumed. Also, two wet towels that had been left on the floor had just been placed back on the shelf under the basin. Additionally, on two separate days the toilet rolls were not replaced and we had to go to reception to request more toilet rolls which was embarrassing and inconvenient. For a hotel of this star rating, we felt maybe further training is needed for the housekeeping staff and maybe the rooms checked by a more senior housekeeper? Apologies for sounding negative in these comments but the standard of cleanliness is very important to us. Also, is it possible please to supply face cloths each day with the towels? However, we would like to thank all the other staff who worked hard and are a credit to the hotel.
