Stayed at the Rundlestone Lodge with my husband for New Year’s. While the stay wasn’t bad, I wouldn’t personally stay here again. After reading countless reviews, I thought this would be a comfortable stay. However, one thing that nobody seemed to mention is the super strange layout of their rooms. If you stay in a 2 Queen room, you may have a window that faces their indoor pool. Not a bad view if you’re a parent wanting to keep an eye on your kid at the pool I guess but it is NOISY. Starting from the earlier mornings to the late evening (10:30 when the pool closes) you can hear the echos of kids screaming in your room. Thankfully, the staff did address it when we called exactly at 10:30 to shut it down but I’m shocked that it’s not mentioned anywhere in reviews. Location was OK. You’re pretty much at the very far end of Banff Ave from everything downtown so it takes about 15 minutes to walk into town which isn’t bad. I’d choose something a bit closer next time. Rooms were clean and spacious, elevator was wonky but fine. Just really awfully loud when kids are in the pool area.

This is a three to three and a half star hotel that has all of your needs covered. If you're in Banff to ski, the shuttles to the Big Three are steps outside of the hotel and is the first pick up spot and drop off. The staff are friendly and very helpful with any questions that you might have. Every front desk person I dealt with was great. The room we were in is old and fairly well worn overlooking the pool and hot tub, which gets well used, but I'm not here to sit in my room. It served it's purpose. I wish the restaurant in the hotel was open. If you are in reasonably good shape you can easily walk to the Banff core in 15 to 20 minutes at a medium pace. Otherwise the hotel has free bus passes that will get you there in minutes. I would stay here again.

great location, convenient for skiing minus the fact that they won’t let you have your skis and boots in your room?? You are in a ski town? Regardless, room felt very dirty, specifically the bathroom in the corners and around the trim. Mould? Probably. The bed sheet wasn’t fitted either and rolled up on the mattress that didn’t have a cover on it either ? Gross. The lady who checked us in was very helpful and polite, but when it came to service from the night staff, it was very rude. The vending machine was out of water so we went to ask if there were any bottles for sale at the desk. Told us to go to 3rd floor machine or just drink the tap water. Who knows what’s in your pipes? Felt like a rude response. Convenient but worth spending an extra $20 for a reservation at a different hotel a block down.

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location and perfect facilities. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, shower and bathroom area was large and plenty of space in the room itself, also all very clean. I liked that it was located more towards to beginning of Banff Ave. A lot less foot traffic and no noise. Great laundry facilities on site plus the gym & pool was perfect! The outside of the hotel is gorgeous, so is the inside. Paid parking underneath as well. Celine - Sydney, Australia

We stayed there last week and just got back from our fantastic trip. The Rundlestone Lodge is clean and pretty. It is a very simple hotel, so there is no big lobby, which can be a plus. The staff was very friendly and professional. When we got there, our sink was clogged, so they unclogged it right away. The only little thing that we did not like was the fact that the sink was separate from the washroom. We prefer a full bathroom instead of a sink outside of the restroom. Otherwise, I have no complaints, and everything was great. There is free underground parking, and they also give you a three-day bus pass. The hotel is located 10-15 walk from downtown, which is fantastic!
