We really enjoyed our stay for 3 nights while attending a family wedding. The bed was super comfortable, and there was ample seating and lighting. The fridge, microwave and coffee maker were nice touches. There was one night missing in our reservation, however the check in clerk resolved that, albeit at the new rate. Scary that it was confirmed in my RSVP account, and never showed up in their system. I also found it strange that the reception clerk used the guest’s first name while they checked in ahead of me, and then did the same with me. I actually use my middle name, so it was peculiar. It looks like they’re in the process of renovations, so hopefully the lamps on the night tables will have USB or AC outlets soon. We found enough on the desk to recharge. Pillows were comfortable standard size. Extra blanket and pillow in the closet. Towels were fluffy and soft, and plenty supplied. Room attendant very happily provided extra coffee pouches and toilet paper. The ironing board cover transferred some dye from a previous guest’s garment, but a new one was provided expeditiously. We were picked up promptly at the airport after calling, and our shuttle to depart was only behind schedule by about 10 minutes. At first I was surprised that the shuttle was only about every hour, but the caring friendliness of the gentleman who drove us made up for that. Overall, this hotel is excellent value, and the location is excellent. We dined at Chop across the parking lot from the lobby, and were surprised at how many vegetarian choices a steak house in Alberta offered. We also enjoyed lunch at Moxie’s which is attached to the building. Overall, the friendliness of the staff and the warm welcome were our favourite features during our stay. We did check out the pool which looked adequate, and well stocked with towels. It seemed that none of the ice machines in the old building were functioning, however, there was one on the ground floor in the Signature building. Perhaps they are part of the current renovation as well. I look forward to staying here again when visiting Calgary.

Booked this room for 2 nights with using lucky 13 cards we had that the rewards program honoured even though the program is discontinued. We have two small trained dogs. Even though this hotel claims to be dog friendly. They put you in the most disgusting room. We were put in a room on the second floor in the original section of the hotel. The room was so dark in the middle of the day with all the lights on it was disgusting. Stains all over the carpets. The room was so hot it was unbearable even with the heat off in -20 weather in Calgary I was forced to open the window to cool off the room. If I was booked into any other hotel that looked like this, I would most definitely check for bed bugs, but the dull lighting made it impossible to even look. So if you have dogs do not book this hotel, that is supposedly dog friendly, they will put you in the most disgusting room and they don’t recognize repeat guess or they wouldn’t put them in such a filth.

The airport shuttle service was terrible. I was on hold for 15 min. Then had to wait 40 min for shuttle. Other hotel shuttles came by twice and three times while we waited in the cold. Room was very noisy. There was an aerobics class ie. loud music and jumping above for 45 min starting at 5 am. Stafff seemed not to care. Did not feel any special treatment as a diamond member.
