i recently stayed at Sovereign on Gold Coast and was really let down. The biggest problem was how dirty it was. I found bugs in the kitchen sink which was really gross. There was also a bad smell in our room that never went away. We were also upset with the service. We stayed for three nights, but no one came to clean our room or give us fresh towels. This isn't what we expected at all. On top of all this, the hotel was too expensive. Considering the bugs, the smell, and the lack of room cleaning, it felt like a waste of money. So, I wouldn't suggest staying at Sovereign on Gold Coast. The cleanliness, service, and high prices were all big problems. There are probably better places to stay in the area.

Do not stay here! We stayed for 2 nights and it wasn’t the best. first thing that happened, we got off the elevator and the smell was disgusting, it was so horrible and unpleasant throughout the whole floor. We then got to our room, the space of the room was good for 2 people. Our bathroom sink was dirty, it had unpleasant stains on it, walls were also dirty, they had multiple marks on them. The light in the bathroom also flicked and didn’t turn on sometimes. Woke up on the first night to the Aircorn leaking water, then in the morning, it had made a massive puddle on the table and carpet, when telling reception what happened apparently a maintenance man came and checked it while we were out of the room and said it was fine but yet again the next morning it had leaked everywhere again. Overall don’t stay here it’s not worth the amount of money you have to pay! stay somewhere else.

We were asked to clean the room before we leave and wash the dishes. Location is great, just 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. If you want to check in late - it will cost you money.

I enjoyed my stay, big room, comfortable bed and the sofas were comfortable. The room was clean and tidy. The only negatives would be the toaster didn't eject the toast which I didn't realise until I saw a load of smoke bellowing out the top. The fridge/freezer wobbled be careful if you have kids climbing. They supplied soap/shampoo, toilet paper. Overall I would stay again and would recommend it.

Had a great stay at this hotel for 2 nights. It had a washing machine, clothes dryer and reasonable sized kitchen which makes it good for a long stay. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the modern bathroom. The parking is very limited and at times was full but if you’re patient it’s not hard to get a spot. There’s a few street parking down the road just in case but you will need the walk a bit. The location is right next to surfers, it’s a 15 minute walk to the shops and not far from the beach. Despite the bad reviews, it was actually an enjoyable stay and I would stay again if need be.
