Great hotel, with a unique vibe! We very much enjoyed our stay here, the room was nicely appointed, the bathroom was huge, especially the shower, the breakfast was nice, and the location is top-notch. If you are staying here, you need to understand this is also a residence and there are permanent residents who live in the building. We enjoyed being able to order breakfast each day, and then sit in the dining room and be served. It was nice not to have a buffet style breakfast each day. The food was always hot, and the servers were polite. It should be noted, this is explained to you at check-in that you need to have your order in by 9:00 PM every night for breakfast the next day, and that housekeeping will leave you a new order form when they make up your room. We very much enjoyed the nightly cookie delivery for a late-night sweet treat. The location makes everything walkable. We walked all over Niagara Falls, and across the bridge to Canada with no problems. It was easy to walk to see the falls at night, and check out the fireworks. The parking was directly across the street, and it was nice to have an assigned parking spot and not have to worry about finding a place to park. We would stay here again if back in Niagara Falls.

Our family of three and our dog stayed a week in the Majestic Suite...and wow!! The place is incredible, and the view is insane (14th floor)! The walk to the falls is nice, and we could do it several times a day since it was so close. I loved going at night! We went to the Buffalo Zoo one day, highly recommend! Papa John's is right there if you want something quick. Hard Rock is a short walk away. You can see the casino from the master bedroom , it's a short walk away! Would definitely recommend The Giacomo to friends and family visiting Niagara falls!!

Location was perfect! 2 blocks from falls. Loved the charm and uniqueness- decor, each room being unique, history. Complimentary guaranteed parking. Complimentary breakfast in room each day, including a hot option. Lush robes, Comfortable beds. Very attentive staff. Chocolates at check in (but we had to ask). Warm cookies each night (but inconsistent). Upper end toiletries. Oversized bathroom. Service to room each day was done well. Sky lounge with AMAZING views/space to hang out with group. Hotel has old world charm, but could use some sprucing up (carpet/paint). Rooms are on energy saving system, which sounds good but is annoying as outlets go off in middle of night. Clocks reset and anything plugged in resets. Seemed short staff at times, so there was some inconsistency of services, but staff tried hard.

There are pros and cons for the Giacomo, spent a week there late August this year. Cons: the pipes all over the ceiling could be covered by a drop ceiling. The building, while old and charming has a musty smell throughout. Room service is basically a glorified Continental breakfast but not bad food. Although we visited for the falls and other things to do, the channel lineup on Spectrum sucks. The biggest issue we had was a complete lack of concierge - we asked numerous times about the area and the staff was clueless. Pros: the staff was very friendly though. Loved the bathrobes and the king bed was fantastic. Nice whirlpool bath, and the sky lounge was an unexpected treat. Overall, although a little pricey for the rooms, it's conveniently located and we did enjoy our stay but the staff could use some training on places and things to do. The rooms could use some TLC.

This place needs a thorough cleaning. Showers were disgusting. Dust everywhere. Odd smell in our room and walls are thin. Price point wasn't bad, but it was one of my only choices in the area with most of the other hotels booked up. The only positive is a very cool view, though, if you go to floor 19. It's a full 360 view of the area. I think only guests have access. The hotel has some really cool engravings. I belive it was also the oldest hotel in the area.
