The room has a kind of smell.... The bed is nt comfortable at all....

Ok I will start by saying I was reading a lot of reviews on Google and trip advisor and Agoda about this hotel. So myself and my partner stayed here to see for ourselves. First bare in mind this is a 1 star hotel personally I would say 2 star. We checked in and we asked to see the rooms as there are 3 types 1) standard 2) superior 3) deluxe So we looked at all and decided to go with the superior room. After staying here i feel this hotel is friendly and comfortable. Yes the rooms are older style and in need of some attention but still comfortable. The tv's are old box style but have cable channels and the air conditioning is cold. Please note if you are travelling with older people or disabled opt for the better rooms which are bigger and are on the ground floor as the hotel has no lift. But all in all I had a very nice and comfortable stay on a budget. Also the staff only speak very basic English so get your driver or taxi driver to translate for you if you can't speak Bahasa indonesia language. But yes I would recommend anyone who want comfortable cheap stay in batam. stay here it's not as bad as I saw in most reviews. I've seen and stayed in worse hotels around Asia. I would recommend to try yourself and you will be pleasantly surprised.

For the price, I'd say it is worth it. The room is huge and it has just been renovated, plus there is billiard table. I'd come back for my stay in Batam.
