This hotel is in a great location. Super close to Universal and there are shuttles constantly. I was highly impressed with our room. It was bigger than expected and I liked how the toilet was Separate. Also had two sinks one in the room with the shower and one at the vanity. Was so convenient. Loved the seating area made it easy for friends to come hang. The resort is set up perfectly for families. The food is way over priced as usual but good. We enjoyed our stay even though it was a short one. Loved the fact that there is plenty for the kids to do just in the hotel itself. Plenty of food options. Bowling alley and arcade as well was the great pool area.

Two stars for the sheer fact that my husband loved the malt shoppe and it was a relatively short walk to the theme park. This hotel isn’t very old and SUPER dirty. If I compare this resort to a Disney resort, well there’s not much of a comparison. The lack of cleanliness and the fact we had to pay for parking kinda ruined our stay at this location, however the restaurants and malt shoppe on sight was very nice. We asked the staff to place us in a relatively remote location away from high traffic…. We were placed right outside the pool area…

Very nice place with lots to do. Staff could be a bit more friendly, and the cost of everything in the hotel was quite expensive for how much we paid for the stay. I would think everything should be a little more reasonably priced. (food, arcade, bowling, ect.). Overall, it's a nice hotel that's really close to Universal. They also provide transportation to the park, which was super awesome.

Our family enjoyed staying at this affordable resort! The rooms were spacious and pretty well-kept. The pool and lazy river were wonderful- the kids had a blast! We didn’t use the food court option very much as we found it quite pricey for what they offer. Early admission to the Universal parks, and free shuttle were definitely wonderful perks of staying at Cabana Bay. I would stay here again in the future!

My boyfriend and I have stayed at Cabana Bay three times and there’s a reason we keep coming back. We LOVE the retro style and how well of a job they did incorporating it throughout the resort. It’s affordable compared to other universal and Disney resorts. You’re a short shuttle away from Universal and Islands. There’s plenty to do - an arcade, two large pools and a lazy river!, bowling and outdoor movies are played every night. Rooms are always clean and check in is always easy (just make sure you don’t book at a busy time aka summer or spring break). Our only “complaint” would be the food - they have a market style area where you can get breakfast, lunch and dinner but everything is quite expensive and a la carte. The quality/taste of the food isn’t our favorite and we prefer to eat outside of the resort. They do charge parking per night during your stay as well, unlike most Disney resorts where parking is included. You’re about 25-30 minutes from the Disney parks which isn’t bad. If you’re going to Volcano Bay, it’s literally in the backyard of the resort and you can see it from your room (if you pay extra for that particular view).
