We enjoyed four beautiful nights in this elegant, beautiful hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and well appointed, particularly the bathrooms. Service was personal, friendly, nothing was ever a problem. The views of the old town are fantastic, but be prepared for the walk, Uber or scooter ride up and down the hill each day if you’re planning to stay here to explore Lyon over several days.

Very nice hotel design, great staff. Bartender knew what he was doing, and was game for something interesting (eg. Tequila Old Fashioned). Rooms are as you would expect at a place like this, although I found there to be a little lack of drawer/storage space to unpack for a few days. Bathrooms have separate small rooms for shower and WC - a definite plus - and although there is the ubiquitous window between the bathroom area and the main space there is an actual blind that can be closed. A little downside is the location. It's up the large hill with the cathedral and the tip-of-the-Eiffel tower, which means that to get into the main part of the city you either hike down (or God forbid up) a long and very steep hill, or get used to taking the funicular. It's fine, and there is a nice view over the city at night, but it's not a heart-of-the-city leave the hotel and walkabout kind of place if that's what you're looking for.

Superb hotel with a great view of Lyon near the Basilica de Fourviere. Ten minutes walking down hill to center of Vieux Lyon which is area with lots of restaurants etc. Very spacious, clean and well furnished rooms. Pierre who took care of us at breakfast was lovely. Indoor pool is one of the nicest I’ve ever seen. Excellent service all around. Would highly recommend.
