- Web check-in before you reach the airport for departure
- Generate a baggage tag or paste the PNR and sector details on the luggage

- Please cooperate with the airport staff during thermal screening at the entry gate
- Be ready with your documents like the boarding pass and ID proof by CISF at the entry gate
- Display the status of Aarogya Setu App* at the entry gate
- In the absence of Aarogya Setu App, fill in the self-declaration form at the entry gate
- Drop the luggage at the self-baggage drop or check-in counters (an electronic receipt is sent to the passenger)
- There is contactless entry into security through the e-gate
- Passengers to dispose of all the bio-hazardous materials like used masks, gloves, tissues, etc., in the yellow-coloured disposable bins placed at strategic locations
- Avoid sitting on spots demarcated for social distancing

- Floor markers are there to remind you to maintain social distancing.
- Food & Beverages counters are audited daily to ensure food safety, hygiene, and contactless interaction
Check-in Process
There are more ways than one to check-in for your flights. At the airport, you will find a range of time-saving alternatives as listed below:
- Online check-in: Most airlines offer the facility to check in online up to 48 hours before the flight. Make use of that and save some time.
- FAST check-in:Fast and Seamless Travel (FAST) lets you enjoy shorter queues and flexibility with check-in kiosks and bag drops.
- Early check-in: Although check-in counters open 2 hours before departure, some airlines allow early check-in. Check with your airline and make use of this facility.
- Group check-in: If you are travelling in a group of 10 or more, many airlines might accommodate a special check-in counter. This helps save time.
Baggage Reclaim
There are specific rules and guidelines on items that can be brought into the aircraft. Carry-on and Check-in baggage are subject to being hand-searched by the security personnel, especially when the X-ray cannot determine its contents.
All passengers are requested to cooperate with the security agencies.
Electronic items such as laptops, cellphones, tablets, etc., may be subject to additional screening. Place all electronic and metallic objects in a separate tray.

To protect you from any potential security threats, there are rules for taking liquids, aerosols, and gels on flights - Lags and items of similar consistency should not exceed 100 ml quantity per container
- Lags in containers larger than 100 ml are not permitted
- At the time of security check-in, remove any lags from your bag(s) and place them separately in a tray
- Lags must be carried in a clear, transparent, reusable plastic bag
Check-in Process
At Ahmedabad, we work towards making your airline check-in process a seamless and pleasant experience. The check-in counters are located at the departure area level 4. Passengers can find their respective airline's counter by referring to the information screens on Level 4, located near the terminal entry gates.
The check-in commencement time is usually four hours prior to departure and counters close at least one hour prior to the departure. However, the check-in counter allocation is a dynamic process; we recommend that you check the allocation of your respective airline at departure kerbside signage.

- Immigration
Be ready with your travel documents as you arrive at the Immigration desk. A valid passport, departure card, and boarding pass will be required at this step.

Customs
After immigration, passengers go through the Customs Declaration Counter as the final step before moving towards their boarding gates. Customs usually do no stamping or baggage check; however, in case of suspicion or as part of a random routine check, sometimes your baggage may be examined by customs.
Important points to consider on departure from India:If you are exporting any high valued items such as jewellery that you would import back into India, consider getting the export certificate from the customs authority so you are not charged custom duty on these items later when you return.
For export certificates, physical verification of the goods is mandatory.
Indian residents can take Indian currency notes not exceeding the value of INR 25,000 with them. Carrying currency notes of the following denominations is prohibited in Nepal and Bhutan - INR 500 and INR 2,000. Only INR 100 or smaller denominations are allowed.
Indian residents going abroad can carry foreign exchange, including foreign currency, without limits so long as RBI/authorised foreign exchange dealer has issued the same. Foreign currency notes exceeding USD 5,000 or equivalent, and foreign exchange, including currency exceeding USD 10,000 or equivalent, needs to be declared at Customs Counter.
Tourists/NRIs, while leaving India, are allowed to take with them foreign currency not exceeding an amount brought in by them.
