Vijayawada Airport (IATA: VGA), a domestic public airport, is located approximately 13.5 km from the city of Vijayawada. It is a mid-sized airport located on National Highway 5, connecting Vijayawada to prominent cities in India. This airport was used as an army base during World War II and later became a civilian airport. The airport is spread across 537 acres and its runway measures 2,286 metres.

The airport can accommodate 50 arrivals and 100 departures. The domestic terminal has nine check-ins, one security counter. The major airline carriers at the airport include Air India, Jet Airways and SpiceJet. There are regular flights scheduled to six cities in India at the terminal. There is currently only one boarding gate available at the airport.

Located in the Krishna district, Vijayawada is the second-largest city in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Hubli Airport (IATA: HBX) is a domestic airport serving the twin cities of Hubli and Dharwad in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located on Gokul Road, about 8 km from Hubli and 20 km from Dharwad. Spread across 369 acres, it was developed after the signing of an MOU between the Karnataka Government and the Airport Authority of India. With the commissioning of an 8 megawatt (MW) ground-mounted grid-connected photovoltaic solar plant in April 2021, Hubli Airport will be self-sufficient in electricity generation.

Air India, Air Connect, Ventura, SpiceJet and Air Pegasus are the airline carriers that serve this airport. There is only one terminal at the airport with a capacity of 72 for both arrivals and departures. Hubli is the second largest city in the Indian state of Karnataka after Bengaluru. It was formed in the 11th century and is often linked with Dharwad, forming an agglomerate town area. Hubli-Dharwad is one of the fastest growing cities in the state.
