I visit Bogota often and have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past. I always enjoyed it and really loved coming for the breakfast. While booking this time there was an option to pay more for the breakfast online. I did and what a mistake. The first day was the same breakfast that I had grown to love. But for the next few mornings I was given a box with Pringle’s and other junk food. They said the kitchen was closed and this was it. I asked for a reimbursement or maybe a discounted rate on 10 more days on an additional stay I was trying to book in a few weeks. After speaking with three staff members and getting the usual, “we understand”, nothing. I’m very frustrated at being ignored and surprised they did not offer anything for my troubles. If you do stay here, do not pay ahead for breakfast. Thoroughly disappointed 😔.

The staff, rooms, and overall amenities were beyond expectation. The two individuals at the front desk were incredibly patient with my questions. Additionally, they were totally willing to let me practice my Spanish. Everyone in this establishment genuinely enjoyed interacting with their guests. I will absolutely stay here on my next trip to Bogota.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Our room was a mini-suite with a terrasse and a balcony with a nice view of the city. Great shower, confortable bed and sofa.. just perfect for us. When I made the reservation to this hotel I didn’t know they had a french-influenced restaurant downstairs (l’atelier de la plaza). I’m a French waiter in a popular french restaurant in San Francisco California, so I guess I picked the right hotel!! They had an amazing menu with very tasty food so we went 3 times during our stay,. I had the filet mignon, the ribeye, the steak/ foie gras… everything perfectly prepared and cooked, delicious!.. I couldn’t believe the quality of the food for the prices!! On top of it, we really enjoyed the kindness of the waitresses, friendly receptionists too! But special thanks to the wonderful receptionist ( and general manager?) ANDREA!!! We just loved her!! She was the only one who spoke english at the reception and it helped us a lot!! She would go out of her way to make us happy every time we would need something.., a very sweet lady! If we get the chance to come back to Bogota, we’d certainly go to la Quinta again. Thank you 😊
