A home away from home except more historic! This 500 year old building is a delight! The hotel has managed to provide all the facilities of the now set without losing the past. The staff have service perfected. The breakfast is fantastic! Take a look at the pics. The location is perfect!

After travelling to other parts of Europe, I have learn to appreciate the Swiss hospitality and the improvements made to their historic hotels over those boutique, trendy hotels we see popping up over all over Europe. Hotel Wilden Mann room has been nothing but fantastically beautiful, modern and most importantly, warm and comfortable. The service we have gotten has been great, the staff kind. We got a free upgrade on arrival and our room is kept clean throughout our stay as though we checked in on the first day. Location is a 5-10 mins walk to Lucerne train station and just a stone throw away from nearby Altstadt attractions. It made day trip exploring the area possible and comfortable. Overall, would recommend to come back and stay, and this time round, try out their restaurants that is around for more than 150 years!

Everything was good... Rooms - OK sizing, very well decorated and equipped. Great location (old city). Nice breakfast. Beautiful public spaces... really 👏 Nice service. ... but there is no way I will give an hotel more than four stars... if it doesn't have a air-conditioning!
