Love the secluded location. The water taxi ride to the front gate, express passes, and easy security experience is phenomenal. The rooms are clean. Upgraded to the club level which includes breakfast, snack, dinner, dessert, and beer/wine. We didn't use it every time since we were at the park, but I'm glad it was available when we did. The bigger room was nice. I loved being able to get reservations and ask questions via text. The staff was wonderful.

Hotel is was and staff was friendly. Our room wasn't ready until after 3 which was an inconvenience. Since we received a text when the room was ready, we had no directions and found the room hard to find. It's a big hotel with different wings. Our shower also had used soap in it, and the bathroom vanity light flickered. At the price of this hotel I didn't expect these issues. Hotel was nicely decorated and thankfully we weren't in the wing that they were doing construction on. I appreciated the menorah in the lobby as well considering the happenings in the world. We didn't use the pool this trip, but the boats to the park were a big convenience. The walking trails were nice too if you don't want to wait for the boat.

This was our first experience at Universal, so the benefit of getting the express passes and early park admission is what enticed me to select the Loews Portofino hotel. However, after our week-long experience staying at this hotel I can truthfully say that this hotel is wonderful. Every single staff member was extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel is BEAUTIFUL, but beyond that what stands out to me was the comfort of our room. It was like our own little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. The bathroom is very large and spacious with a his/her sink.. very nice when getting ready in the morning or cleaning up after hours of walking in the parks. I cannot express enough how comfortable the beds were. We slept like babies and woke without any aches or stiffness every morning. It really helped us enjoy the parks more, getting a wonderful night's rest. I will definitely be going back and choosing this hotel! Top notch and I couldn't recommend it more!
