The airport agencies collect all the unclaimed items which are found unattended and deposit them under the lost & found property. The unclaimed goods are then transferred to the warehouse after 24 hours or by 9 am the next day, whichever is earlier. These items can only be reclaimed by someone authorised by the traveller. The perishable goods, including liquids, are stored up till 48 hours or their expiry date, after which they are disposed of with the approval of the duty-terminal manager. Any lost good is kept on an ‘as is where is basis. ’ The airport authorities are not responsible for any damage to the misplaced or lost items.

As far as baggage handling and delivery are concerned, it is the sole responsibility of the concerned airlines from the point of check-in to the point of collection. In case a passenger misplaces an item inside the airplane, it should be reported to the respective airline authorities.
