Navi Mumbai International Airport follows stringent guidelines to ensure the safety of your flight and offer a comfortable and stress-free experience. If you are a regular air traveller, you should be acquainted with these instructions. However, first-time flyers should keep in mind the instructions before their trip to the airport and take the necessary steps to follow these guidelines, as these are mandatory for the passengers.

These steps should be followed at the security check before your flight-

  • Documentation: Keep your boarding pass with you at all times. If you're flying internationally, ensure you have your passport and a valid visa as well.
  • Queue Up: Stand in line and wait patiently for your turn.
  • Inspection: Take off your belts, keys, wallet, coins, precious metals, gemstones, etc. Place electronic devices and cables in a separate tray.
  • Footwear Check: You might be asked to remove your shoes for the screening process.
  • Restricted Items: Avoid bringing any flammable materials or sharp objects in your hand luggage.
SHARP OBJECTS Knives, Scissors ,Razor blades ,box cutters ,Metal nail files, Swiss knives.. Etc
WEAPONS & REPLICAS Firearms (real or toy replicas), ammunition, stun guns, tasers, whips, batons, nunchakus.
EXPLOSIVES AND FLAMMABLE ITEMS Fireworks, crackers, flare guns, lighters, lighter fluid, fuel, paints, thinners, strike-anywhere matches.
CHEMICALS AND HAZARDOUS MATERIALS Bleach, acids, alkalis, mercury, wet cell batteries, insecticides, weed killers, pepper spray, tear gas.
LIQUIDS, AEROSOLS & GELS (LAGs) Any liquid over 100 ml (including water, shampoo, lotion, toothpaste, etc.)
Must be packed in a 1-litre transparent resealable bag.
Liquids purchased at duty-free must be in a Security Tamper-Evident Bag (STEB).
MISCELLANEOUS Toy guns or realistic-looking replicas
Electronic devices that cannot be switched off
Jams, sauces, and other semi-liquid foods over 100 ml
Multiple laptops (some airlines restrict this)
Alcohol (not allowed in cabin baggage)
ALLOWED WITH RESTRICTIONS
Medicines: Must be declared; prescription may be required.
Baby food/milk: Permitted but subject to screening.
Power banks: Allowed only in cabin baggage, not checked baggage.
Liquids, gels, and aerosols: Only small quantities in containers of 100 millilitres (3.4 ounces) or less.
  • Retrieve Your Belongings: After you’ve completed the security check, you can collect your items.
