Kandla Airport, also known as Gandhidham Airport (IATA code: IXY), is situated north of Kandla town in the Kutch district of Gujarat. The airport consists of one domestic terminal with a capacity of about 100 passengers at a time. Kandla, known for the Kandla Port or Deendayal Port, is situated near the city of Gandhidham in the Kutch district of Gujarat. Located in the Gulf of Kutch in the Arabian Sea, Kandla houses one of India’s main seaports on the western coast. The port was constructed in 1931.


Kandla Port is located approximately 475 km southeast of Pakistan’s Karachi Port. In 2017, under the Indian Ports Act, 1908, the port was renamed Deendayal Port after Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay.
