Great location, great customer service, rooms nicely fitted. A bit more attention to detail would make it a solid 5 (e.g. no streaming services on TV, kitchen lacks some equipment). Parking some 5-10 minute walk to hotel, but not a big inconvenience.

Great central location for a reasonable price. Electronic check-in and gaining access to the room via the app was seamless. Staff were friendly. It would have been even better if there had been some basic refreshments (tea, instant coffee, etc) in the room. Coffee and breakfast in the bar was good.

I came here solo to run Lucern half marathon this weekend and I felt grateful to have found a hotel in the center of the town. + : The rooms are thoughtfully designed. They own a minimalist but functional approach to their structure. The space is luminous and welcoming. With regard to the hotel, it is close to a lot of touristic attractions besides shopping facilities. They also have a social room where you can prepare yourself coffee and tea. Being a solo woman traveller I felt safe to wander and go out in the evening as I knew the hotel was in a secure part of the town. - : The hotel doesn’t own proper noiseless walls which has engendered too much noise disturbances during at night. This is for me the only negative point I could leave, for I am really sensitive to noise. Whether from the common spaces, the hallway or else, coming from outside with the people going out in the weekend, I didn’t sleep peacefully until I decided to buy earplugs on the second night.

Let me count the ways this hotel is awful: 1. They offer laundry, but the machines are constantly in use by hotel staff, so it’s not a true amenity. 2. The room layout is incredibly inefficient, with essential space devoted to unused kitchenettes. There was no space to store bags, meanwhile a pristine kitchenette took up half the room. 3. While “cleaning” our room, staff DUMPED OUT THE GARBAGE ON THE VANITY AND LEFT IT THERE!!! 4. There are a number of stairs to get to any room, with no mention of a side entrance with an elevator. I can’t imagine coming here as an older adult, with a stroller, mobility issues etc. and not knowing that’s available. 5. Showers have no conditioner or soap, only shampoo (and our shampoo. was broken). 6. Insufficient light in the shower and bathroom. 🫠 Number three was what prompted me to write a one star review, because that’s truly heinous. There were a number of other small issues with heat, air on etc. I won’t get into but suffice to say never in a million years would I recommend this hotel.

Edit: 2 star review became a 1 star review after we found the contents of our trash can dumped across the bathroom sink and counter after housekeeping “cleaned” our room. (photo attached) Extremely loud hallway. As I write this a child is screaming out there and it’s echoing up and down all six flights of stairs. The “community room” is kind of a joke. It’s just a hot laundry room. Oh and you can’t actually do laundry because the staff is constantly using the machines. They kicked us out of the outdoor seats of their own empty cafe at 7am. Inclusion of kitchenette in the Medium room does not make sense. Is anyone going to actually cook in a 18 sq m room, a meter away from your bed? Kitchen things looked untouched. Wasted space for stove and dishwasher that could’ve been used so that you don’t have to step on top of the toilet to get out of the shower. Also there is no soap or conditioner in the shower and the soap in the bathroom is locked to the wall so you can’t move it. Good? Smooth digital checkin, fridge, nice finishes.
